It's morning. You're running late. The dogs won't stop chasing each other around the floor, and the baby won't have it if you put her down. Your keys are missing and you have one shoe. Cue nervous breakdown.
Yeah, we've all been there at one point or another. Chaotic schedules make for chaotic lives, and that's not the kind of life we anxious people need. So let's get to work on putting our lives in order, so we can make it through each hectic day, one step at a time.

Watch

What time is it? Time to plug in your dead cell phone. We depend on our phones for everything under the sun these days, and for a while it seemed like watched were becoming obsolete. But what happens when you're mobile time keeper craps out and you don't know whether or not you need to haul ass to work? A cute little wristwatch will keep track of the time for ya! Just a quick flick of the wrist and boom! You know the time. Plus how can you not have one when there's so many cute options out there? Take these for example.

Planner

Wait, the meeting was TODAY??? Never utter those words again as you learn to religiously plan out your week. I know I have a problem with forgetting things as soon as I get home, and though it took some effort, I am proud to say I have developed the habit of writing out my appointments, events, and blogging schedule. It's a relief to just open up my journal and know exactly what is in store for me that day.

Calendar

A planner is good for the details, but a calendar works great for jotting down major events and appointments. I usually pass a glance at mine before bedtime so I remember to set an alarm to get up for anything important for the following morning. Which brings me to my next point...

Alarm Clock

Have you ever been in your dream and heard your alarm go off? Weird, right? Standing there at work in your underwear wondering why sirens are blaring... Anyhoo, alarm clocks kinda tie into the first post about watches- I know we all use our cell phones for this, but God forbid your charger stops working or you set it for p.m. instead of a.m. and now you're sleeping in when you're actually supposed to be at brunch with mom.

Reminders

I remember in high school, my mother would put little sticky notes on my bathroom mirrors. Sometimes they were little notes about things I needed to do, and they always had words of encouragement. These days I make sure to jot down notes on my little notepad and pin it on my cork board.  Don't limit yourself there though- put up notes on your mirrors, clock, and even the dash of your car if necessary! Pick the cutest and most unique notes to make sure they grab your attention.

  Key Tracker

Those flinging, flanging keys are always on the run! And don't bother with the key hooks- they end up as a glorified plank of wood on your wall. We're gonna toss them wherever, and when it comes time to hurry out the door, they're nowhere to be found. Say goodbye to that with this Tile Mate Key Tracker, which can not only loop onto your keys, but also comes with a tracker that easily slips into your wallet or purse! They'll never hide again!

 Storage

It's not gonna do you any good to have these things if they don't have a home! Whether it be a basket, divider or complete desk organizer, have a game plan for how to best arrange everything for easy access. Here's an idea below.

Organization Skills

Last but not least, you gotta know how to organize in order to be organized. I recommend the book Spark Joy by Marie Kondo. It is a sequel to her first book, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, and goes into detail about how to go about organizing your home once it's decluttered. Having a home with a healthy flow and energy will do wonders for your physical and mental health. So don't wait; get your life organized and enjoy it to the fullest!
